Roles

Superintendent

a construction leader who runs the jobsite day to day, coordinating trades, schedules, drawings and safety to build the project as planned

Your job, minus the screen work

You run the jobsite: crews, subs, sequence, safety and quality. You answer for building from current drawings and never installing something the architect hasn't approved. Every handoff on the project passes through your trailer.

Where your week goes

  1. Marking submittal status on the lookahead by memory
  2. Forwarding architect transmittals and waiting
  3. Discovering sheets missing from a drawing set
  4. Renaming dozens of sheet files when the text recognition misreads a title block
  5. Emailing revisions to subs and hoping each foreman sees them
  6. Catching up on daily logs on Saturday

What an agent takes over

  1. Submittal follow-up Checks the next three weeks of work every morning and lists what can't start because a submittal isn't approved.
  2. Architect reminders Drafts follow-ups to the design team and sends sub reminders automatically.
  3. Drawing upload Files each new set, checks the sheet count against the transmittal, and stops if anything is missing.
  4. Revision distribution Sends each revision to the right subs, tracks who confirmed, and flags who didn't.
  5. Meeting prep Puts every at-risk submittal on the owner meeting agenda with days to start.

What stays with you

  1. The sequence of work and the plan of the day

  2. Stopping work and accepting installed work

  3. Pulling superseded sheets off the plan table

  4. Every word to the owner or architect, and the phone calls to subs
