CMiC gives contractors real REST APIs, program-coded screens like SCPAYREQ, and compliance holds that stop bad payments. But the APIs belong to IT and service accounts, so one rule change on a Tuesday becomes a ticket. Subcontractors who bill outside the Collaborate window send PDFs, compliance codes must be on the voucher before it posts, and a submitted Daily Journal locks behind the foreman.

Questions
Can one agent work both R12 and NEXUS screens?
Yes. Where a NEXUS screen is laid out differently, the process owner re-shows that step once. The rules carry over unchanged.
What if a Daily Journal needs a fix after it locks?
Only an administrator can unlock it. The agent sends the correction with the source document and the before and after values.
Does Procore's CMiC integration make the agent unnecessary?
No. Keep it for the records it syncs. The agent covers the documents, emailed pay requests and journal tabs it does not map.
